“Ensure that foreground and background color combinations provide sufficient contrast when viewed by someone having color deficits or when viewed on a black and white screen.”
For images that provide important information (i.e., images that are not simply provided as eye candy), ensure there is sufficient contrast to allow the visitor to discern that information.
Online tools are available to allow web developers and designers to simulate various vision problems and to assist them with making design decisions.
