Changing Priority Categories Served Under Order of Selection

DECLARATION CHANGING PRIORITY CATEGORIES SERVED UNDER ORDER OF SELECTION FOR VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES

Whereas, on August 18, 1995, the Director of the Department of Rehabilitation (Department) declared that the Department is under Order of Selection for Vocational Rehabilitation Services and determined that no priority categories could then be served, and,

Whereas, on June 16, 2006, the Director of the Department issued a declaration that projected resources were adequate to serve individuals in priority categories that include all most significantly disabled individuals, regardless of the date of application, and significantly disabled individuals with an application date on or before June 30, 2007, shall be served effective June 30, 2006, and,

Whereas, I have reviewed projected resources and projected costs, as provided by Title 9, California Code of Regulations, Sections 7052 and 7053.5, and determined that the order of selection shall remain the same in that projected resources are adequate to serve individuals in the priority categories that include all most significantly disabled individuals, regardless of the date of application, and significantly disabled individuals with an application date on or before June 30, 2008.

Now, therefore, I, Luciana Profaca, Acting Director of the Department of Rehabilitation, declare that effective June 30, 2007, priority categories that include all most significantly disabled individuals, regardless of the date of application, and significantly disabled individuals with an application date on or before June 30, 2008, shall be served.
